Bring a year of hands-on frontend experience to the interfaces job seekers use every day — Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS.
Every screen on ResuPulse — the resume upload flow, the analysis report, the job match dashboard — is built with Next.js 16, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS. We're hiring a Frontend Engineer with around a year of experience to help build and improve that experience directly with the founder.
With a year of production experience, you'll be expected to take on more ambiguous problems with less oversight than a fresher hire — owning entire flows, not just individual components. Calm, clear UI matters here, because the product supports people through something stressful: a job search.
Key job responsibilities
- Own UI flows end to end using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS, with less day-to-day guidance than an entry-level hire.
- Make and defend real design-system and architecture decisions, not just implement a spec.
- Work with React Query and Zustand for data fetching and client state at a production scale.
- Diagnose and fix non-trivial bugs and performance issues across existing screens.
- Work directly with the founder on code review and product decisions.
Basic qualifications
- Around 1 year of professional experience building production frontend applications.
- Strong working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern CSS (TailwindCSS or similar).
- A track record of shipping real, user-facing features, not just following a design file.
- Comfortable with Git and working through an unfamiliar codebase independently.
- A production project (work or personal) you can speak to in detail.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Next.js App Router and server components.
- Experience maintaining or extending a component library / design system.
- Basic understanding of how a frontend consumes and caches REST APIs.
- A deployed project with real, ongoing usage.
